LADERA RANCH, Calif. – (April 3, 2017) – Ladera Sports Center announced today that it raised $5,045 during the month of March on behalf of Laura’s House and its H.E.A.R.T (Healthy Emotions & Attitudes in Relationships Today) program, which provides interactive workshops to inform Southern California youth about healthy relationships and the prevention of teen dating abuse and bullying. SmartStop Asset Management, a national real estate firm and owner of Ladera Sports Center, provided a dollar-for-dollar match of all donations raised by the multi-sport facility to bring the grand total to $10,090.
“For more than 20 years, Laura’s House has provided vital domestic violence-related services, shelter and hope to the people of Orange County,” said Holly Schwartz, executive vice president of Ladera Sports Center. “We are proud of the important work that Laura’s House provides our community and are pleased to provide support to an organization that has done so much for so many.”
Laura's House provides domestic violence-related services to the 915,000 residents of Orange County, California and beyond. Since 1994, Laura's House has provided shelter and supportive services to more than 4,000 abused women and children and counseling, life skills education and legal assistance to more than 50,000 persons.
Today, Laura's House continues to be the only state-approved comprehensive domestic violence agency in South Orange County. Annually, Laura's House provides residential shelter services, counseling and legal services to hundreds of women and children. Thousands of crisis calls come in each year to its Crisis Hotline.
